About TXW&M
My name is David Morris. I started TXW&M after I moved to Houston in 2012. TXW&M is the first company name I’ve ever had, but it’s definitely not my first rodeo.
I have a B.A. in Electronic Media and Communications from Texas Tech University and 8 years of industry experience. During college, I worked full-time as a news producer, reporter, photojournalist and editor for the CBS affiliate KLBK TV.
My final position before leaving was Senior Producer. I was able to do all sorts of great stuff while is was there. I got to report from London during the Royal Wedding. Was blessed with the opportunity to do a short film from Haiti after their 2010 earthquake. And I’ll never forget going to Iraq during the Arab Spring of 2011.
Towards the end of that job I realized that I was actually more interested in the business of media and the strategies behind it than anything else.
So, I started working towards my goal of opening a media-focused company of my own.
The first few jobs I did were safety and information videos for the oilfield, and then gradually I picked up more business in web design and branding. Along the way I also made a lot of really great entrepreneurial friends that helped me get started.
Fast-forward to 2012, I moved to Houston, Texas, set up TXW&M, began an M.B.A. at the University of Houston, and started doing part-time work for Houston Community College’s Center for Entrepreneurship.
I love to stay busy, meet new people, and try new and cool things.
I also have a dog with a giant beard. His name is Max.
